The 10th album from this band from Iceland.
The band was a trio with a lineup of drums, bass, guitars, keyboards and vocals.
A number of guests added string and woodwinds.
I have reviewed all their previous albums and have liked them a lot. Hence, I was looking forward to reviewing this album.
Kveikur clocks in at fifty minutes.
The music here is post-rock.
The music is melodic, flowery and floating. There is indeed a lot of dream-pop in the music here.
There is a lot of piano and keyboards here. The guitars are more in the background.
There are some very good vocals here too.
The ambience is very good throughout.
This is another very good album from this band. The kings of post-rock, no doubts.
3.5 points
