The fourth album from this band from Great Britain.
The band was a duo with a lineup of bass, guitars, keyboards, drums programming, programming, narration and vocals.
The band returned again after a couple of months-long break.
Great Journeys clocks in at seventy-five minutes.
The music here is symphonic prog.
A good reference here is the Dutch band Us. That too was a duo and very much in the same vein as Riffstone. And that is both a comparison and a compliment (check out this Dutch band).
The music here is melodic and not overly complex. This is symphonic prog, yes. But not in the same vein as Yes.
The music is a bit pedestrian at times.
There is some good stuff here and some less good stuff. The result is therefore a pretty good album and the least interesting album from this band.
