With The Dead - Love From With the Dead (2017)

The second album from this band from Great Britain.

The band was a quartet on this album with a lineup of drums, bass, guitars and vocals.

The band returned again two years after their self-titled debut album. The band had expanded to a quartet now with the addition of an ex drummer of Bolt Thrower, one of my favourite death metal bands.

The music on this sixty six minutes long album is a blend of good old doom metal and space rock.

The music is very slow and gloomy. The guitars and bass are downtuned and muddy. The vocals are also pretty downtuned.

That creates a classic doom metal sound and some classic sounding doom metal music.

It is always good to hear Lee Dorian's vocals again and I really like doom metal. The quality of the music here is somewhere between good and decent.

I believe there will be no more albums from this band. The doom metal scene is alive and well. This band's two albums is well worth checking out.
