Id - Where Are We Going (1977)

The one and only album from this band from USA.

The band was a sextet with a lineup of drums, bass, guitars, slide guitars, mellotron and vocals.

This album is clocking in at three quarters of an hour.

This album was released on a tiny record label that pressed this album in a small number and gave the album no promotion. The album still got a cult-status during the last four decades. RidingEasy Records, a record label specialising in re-releasing old out-of-print psych and prog rock classics then re-released this album on CD and on Bandcamp two years ago.

The album is hard psych rock with a lot of hard rock and some flower power influences. The music sounds like it was written in the late 1960s.

The guitars solos are both long and wild. They sounds improvised too.

The vocals and the mellotrons are pretty good.

The sound is good. The music is decent enough but not particular interesting. Psych and space rock fans may find this album interesting. I am not won over.
