The fourth album from this band from Finland.
The band was a quintet with a lineup of drums, bass, guitars, keyboards, flute and vocals.
The band continued on after their first three, rather good albums.
The band has always been operating somewhere between heavy prog and progressive metal. Their music has never been a fully signed up member of the metal genre. So they are not a progressive metal band, then. Their music is too muscular and hard for the neo-prog and psych rock genres too.
There is a lot of various different sounds and music on this fifty minutes long album.
We got some Porcupine Tree sounding pieces of music here and some Muse sounding pieces of music. There are also a lot of Rush and some Queen influences here.
Some of the music is complex and intricate. There is also some very poppy and catchy tunes here.
This album is a mixed bag, in other words. The vocals is very good and most of the music is good. I am not won over by everything here. But on balance, this is a good album although it is not their best album.
