Phideaux - AutoMoto Animus (2026)

The 12th album from this artist from USA.

Phideaux Xavier did the bass, guitars, keyboards, synths and vocals.

A number of guests added drums, percussion, bass, guitars, violin, viola, cello, piano, organ keyboards, moog, mellotron, synths, woodwinds and vocals.

Phideaux Xavier returned again after a six years long album break.

AutoMoto Animus clocks in at three quarters of an hour.

The music here is art-rock.

The music starts out in the Depeche Mode vein and that made me wonder where the album was heading. Thankfully, that was only the first minutes. Then the music becomes art-rock.

Normal service resumes, in other words.

There are some folk rock influences throughout his album. Indeed some Americana too.

The music is pretty quirky.

The vocals is very good.

The overall quality is good and this is another quality album from this artist.
