The second album from this band from Italy.
The band was trio with a lineup of bass, guitars, keyboards, programming and vocals.
Their 2013 debut album The Sirius Mystery was a pretty poor album, I noted in my review earlier this month. I had heard that they had since become a trio and that made me persevere with the band.
The music on this one hour long album is more in the vein of neo-prog than on their debut album. These two albums could hardly have been more different and it is now unfair, deeply unfair, to judge this band on their debut album.
Lapse Of Time has got some really good melodies. The music is indeed melodic and pretty symphonic on the twenty-eight minutes long title track which ends this album (one edition of the album also comes with a bonus track).
Angelica Esposito's vocals is good. The electric guitars sound is a bit too muddy. The rest of the sound is good.
The band is now ready to release more albums. They are a talented trio and we can expect great things from this band in the future. This album is a good album.
