Almendra - El Valle Interior (1980)

The third album from this band from Argentina.

The band was a quartet with a lineup of drums, bass, guitars and vocals.

This is the third and final album from this band.

First of all, I have to confess that I really love the album art-work. What a great painting.

Back to the music....  This forty minutes long album is a return to Latin progressive rock. To be more precise, early 1970s symphonic prog.

The music is slow to mid-tempo with some good guitar harmonies and vocals. Luis Alberto Spinetta is really doing a great job here on the guitars and on vocals. The vocals are in Spanish, the language of Argentina.

There is no really outstanding tracks here. That said, the sound and ambience here is really good and the music is charming. It also has a warm glow and a South American feel.

This album is a charmer and a good album in it's own right. Check it out.
