The debut album from this band from Great Britain.
The band was a quintet with a lineup of drums, bass, guitars, keyboards, programming and vocals.
Some guests added guitars and additional vocals.
I reviewed their third album, this year's album Trichotomy back in September this year and I added in the review that I would also review their first two albums too. That is what I am now doing before the end of this year.
Their third album was a melodic blend of neo-prog and psych rock. So I was hoping for more of the same as Moon Halo is a sort of a supergroup with some well known names from the neo-prog scene in Great Britain.
Chroma clocks in at one hour and the music is more mainstream rock and pop than progressive rock.
There are still some progressive rock influences here though. But most of the music is mainstream pop/rock. There is also a lot of electronica and some funk here.
The blend of male and female vocals is good. Ditto for the sound and the efforts of the musicians.
Some of the music is decent enough and some of the music is good.
This is a promising debut album indeed and one those into melodic rock and pop should check out.
