Alcàntara - Tamam Shud (2025)

The second album from this band from Italy.

The band was an eight pieces big band with a lineup of drums, bass, guitars, violin, keyboards and vocals.

The band returned again six years after their debut album Solitaire. An album I gave a good rating earlier this month.

Tamam Shud is a three quarters of an hour long album in the psych rock genre. There is also a lot of indie rock in their music. Good references are Pink Floyd, Marillion and early Radiohead.

The guitars are again the dominating instruments. The violin and the keyboards are adding spices to the music.

The music is mid-tempo with some good melodies. The vocals is good too.

This is a good album and an album who has rightfully given this band some good attention. I hope we will hear a lot more from them in the future. But please do not wait six years until releasing the new album.
