Homme - Ma Vie en Théorèmes (2025)

The debut album from this band from France.

The band was a quartet with a lineup of drums, bass, guitars and vocals.

This band was formed some years ago after the band members left other bands and converged into Homme. A single was recorded and released back in 2022 before the band recorded and released this album earlier this year.

This album clocks in at fifty minutes.

The music here can best be described as heavy prog.

There are some Porcupine Tree influences here and some more modern rock influences. There are even some reggae here at the end of this album.

The music is pretty heavy and rocking throughout. The heavy stuff reminds me a lot about the hard rock scene in the 1970s and the 1980s. Indeed, there are some Trust references here.

The vocals is good though and the band does a good job throughout.

There are some good stuff here and some rather less good stuff. Their reggae stuff is, and I am no fan of that genre, some of the best stuff on this album.

I am not won over yet. But I still hope we will hear more from this band.
