The debut album from this band from Australia.
The band was a trio with a lineup of didgeridoo, drums, percussion, bass, guitars, piano, keyboards, harmonium and flute.
I have been watching this band with a great deal of scepticism over the last years as the band released three albums a year for a while before they got a normal schedule. I am a curious creature by nature and I have therefore decided to review their so far eight albums this summer and fall.
The band describe themselves as a symphonic prog band and they are listed as such in ProgArchives and other places.
The forty minutes of music on this, their debut album, is a blend of folk rock, old symphonic prog and some cinematic rock.
The music is a bit epic with some medieval music inbetween some symph prog and cinematic rock pieces.
The music sounds sloppy and run-of-the-mill most of the time. There are some good pieces here inbetween some pretty dire music.
This is a decent enough album. I am not won over, in other words.
