The band was a quintet with a lineup of drums, bass, guitars, keyboards and vocals.
This band from Catania on Sicily in the far south of Italy is a new band on the scene. They have so far released two albums and both of them are up for review in this blog. The second album will be reviewed sometime next week.
Solitaire is a fifty minutes long album in the melodic psych rock genre.
Take Pink Floyd and mix them with Anathema and Jadis. There are also some Marillion influences in their sound and music.
The music also got an indie feel and you can hear a bit of early Radiohead here.
The music has a good indie guitars sound. Most of the music here is guitars dominated. Music which is not overly exciting and varied. It is a bit one-dimensional.
That aside... The vocals is good and the band does a good job.
This is indeed a good album and well worth checking out.
