The second album from this band from Italy.
The band was a quintet with a lineup of percussion, violin, viola, guitars, balalaika, dulcimer, zither, woodwinds, harmonica and whistles.
This band released three albums between 1972 and 1976. I reviewed their first album last month and a review of their third and final album will follow next week.
The music on this thirty-five minutes long album is a blend of world music and avant-garde rock.
Their debut album had one composition and some jams.
The music on La Terra is more like jams over some Arabian and North-African folk music blended with some avant-garde rock.
There is a lot of flutes and ethnic percussion here. The sound is good throughout.
The quality is decent enough without really impressing me. This is not really my cup of tea.
