Jazz Q - Talisman (2016)

The tenth album from this band from Hungary.

The band was a quartet with a lineup of drums, bass, guitars and keyboards.

The band returned again after the very disappointing Temne Slunce album from 2014. See my review and my reviews of their other albums somewhere else in this blog.

Talisman is clocking in at one hour.

The music is jazz.

In this case, the music is middle-of-the-road jazz with some keyboards and guitar solos.

The rhythm section is very tight. The solos are pretty good. The music is mid-tempo and pretty melodic.

The music is cosy but still pretty workmanlike.

I am not won over by this album. That said, it is still a pretty good album.
