The third album from this band from Japan.
The band was a quartet with a line-up of drums, bass, guitars, piano, organ, synths and samples.
One guest added vocals.
I have really enjoyed their first two albums. Albums I regard as hidden gems in the prog rock scene. Both of them have been reviewed in this blog.
The Prime Moving Lumps clocks in at three quarters of an hour.
The music here is Canterbury prog & jazz.
The music is quirky, instrumental, jazzy and pretty eclectic. It is still melodic too.
Egg is a very good reference here.
The sound is good. The organ sound is really the star on this album and makes a Canterbury scene fan's heart beat a lot faster.
The overall quality here is good and it is a crying shame that this band's three albums has not been re-released. They deserve that. Stubbs is my find-of-the-year.
