The tenth album from this band from USA.
The band was a quartet with a lineup of drums, bass, guitars, keyboards, programming and vocals.
The band returned again after a four years long break.
FWX is clocking in at fifty-two minutes.
The band started out as heavy metal band. Then they released a power metal album before they moved to and indeed, together with Dream Theater, formed the progressive metal genre.
The band has again evolved on FWX. The music is now a blend of hard rock and progressive metal.
The music is guitars based. The sound is both earthy and organic. The music is also very dynamic and hard. Hard but not particularly heavy.
Some of the music is also commercial and pretty elegant. The sound is contemporary.
The vocals are very good.
The overall quality is pretty good.. but the vocals and a couple of very good pieces of music is elevating this album to a good rating. This is one of their better albums.
