The debut album from this band from The Netherlands.
The band was a quintet with a lineup of drums, bass, guitars, keyboards and vocals.
This band is new to me. This album was released three months ago, back in February. None of the band members has been involved in any known prog rock bands according to their ProgArchives profile. There is nothing wrong with that.
Master Of Illusion is clocking in at sixty-five minutes.
The music is neo-prog with a lot of heavy prog and symphonic prog influences. The music is also very much in the Dutch neo-prog tradition.
The music is very muscular. It is also mostly mid-tempo with some fast bits.
There is a lot of keyboards and guitars here. They are all good.
The vocals too are good.
There is a lot of inspired neo-prog here and the band knows what it is doing. The musicianship is very good in other words.
There is no killer tracks here. The overall quality is good and this is an album the neo-prog fans will really appreciate.
Check out this good album.
