Lone Wanderer - The Faustian Winter (2020)

The second album from this band from Germany.

The band was a quartet with a lineup of drums, bass, guitars and vocals.

This is the follow up album to the 2016 album The Majesty Of Loss and precessor of this year's album Exequiae. Both of them have been reviewed this year in this blog.

This album is clocking in at one hour and the music is funeral doom metal.

The music is slow, majestic and epic.

The music is also harsh and heavy. It is like a funeral dirge. The vocals are throaty and harsh. They are more like an instrument than proper vocals.

There are some acoustic guitars and acoustic melody lines here. The vast majority of the music is slow, grinding electric guitars dominated.

This is their best album and slightly better than their two other albums. It is still a decent album and one worth checking out.
