The second album from this band from Great Britain.
The band was a duo with a lineup of guitar, keyboards and vocals.
Three guests added drums, bass and backing vocals.
This band is a cooperation between Steve Rothery (Marillion) and a Hannah Stobart. It was more or less a Marillion side project too although the music is pretty far away from Marillion's world.
The band released two albums before they called it a day. I reviewed their debut album some days ago and liked it a lot.
Ostara clocks in at three quarters of an hour.
The music is again a blend of folk rock and dream pop.
Both Hannah and Steve are again the stars here. Hannah for her vocals and Steve on his guitars.
There are a lot of similarities between their two albums. Steve's guitars are better and very impressive on this album compared to their debut album. The vocals is as per usual great.
The music is mid-tempo, melodic and warm. It has some sparse instrumentations. The sound is therefore airy and open.
This is another good album from this band. Both albums are recommended and should be checked out.
