The fourth album from this artist from France.
Jacques did the drums, percussion, bass, electric piano and clavinet.
He had help from a sextet who added bass, piano, clavinet, woodwinds and female vocals.
Jacques returned again one year after his rather good third album. I believe Cinq Hops was and still is his most famous and revered album.
Cinq Hops clocks in at forty minutes.
The music is a blend of vocal jazz and avant-garde music.
The music is still melodic. The music still has a lot of avant-garde edges.
The musicians do a good job here. The vocals are soprano female vocals and great.
The sound is really good too.
This is indeed a small little gem and a good album in it's own right. I am positively surprised as I had no hope for the rest of his albums after the pretty bad debut album.
