The 33rd album from this band from Great Britain.
The band was a quintet with a line-up of drums, bass, guitars, keyboards and vocals.
This album is a collection of some of their old classics and some new songs. This is therefore not really a new album. But I have chosen to review it anyway.
Psychedelic Selection clocks in at seventy-five minutes.
The music is a blend of space rock and psych rock.
The music is at times whimsical and spaced out. The music is also melodic throughout.
Silver Machine is not here. Besides that, most of their other classics are here.
There are some good space rock runouts here in between the songs.
The vocals are really good here.
It can be argued that this album is a bit of a waste of time and money. The songs are very good and this makes this album both a guilty pleasure and a very good album.
