The third album from this band from Great Britain.
The band was a quintet with a lineup of drums, bell, percussion, bass, guitars, steel guitar, piano, harpsichord, organ and vocals.
The band from Wales soldiered on with this fifty minutes long album.
When I decided to review this band's full discography earlier this year, I thought I was in for some straight forward sounding hard psych albums. I was wrong....
This fifty minutes long album is a pretty complex album who also takes in country'n'western. I take it that the band was sarcastic when they wrote and included that song on this album. It sounds like a send up.
The rest of the album is complex, hard and full of psychedelic rock. California psych rock imported to the north of Wales, Great Britain. Some Welsh grit and grime has been added to the import from California.
The result is the music on this album. An album with a weird album cover art. Cover art which describes the music here pretty well.
The music is not for the faint hearted.
This is still a good album though and one of the more interesting psych rock albums from the 1970s. An album that lives up to it's semi-classic status.
