The 13th album from this band from Great Britain.
The band was a quintet with a lineup of drums, bass, guitars, piano, organ, electronics and vocals.
The band returned again after a fourteen years long break for this, their final album.
Novum clocks in at one hour.
The music is proto-symphonic prog.
That label is the best one for this band and their very own niche in the prog rock scene.
The music here is songs based, mid-tempo and melodic.
The late Gary Brooker's vocals is great. The band does a good job. The hammond organ sound is very good.
This album is a bit of a return to form and a fitting end to their career. Gary Brooker passed on in 2022. I have a lot of respect for this band and their albums. They are a bit underrated. But in my home, they are not.
This is a pretty good album and one I really enjoyed.
