The second album from this band from Sweden.
The band was a trio with a lineup of drums, bass, guitars and clean vocals.
Mikael Akerfeldt from Opeth did the growl vocals.
In other words, Mikael Akerfeldt did most of the vocals on this album. Opeth were just starting up back then and their first albums were clearly influenced by Katatonia.
This album is clocking in at forty-two minutes and the music is a blend of death and doom metal. As mentioned above, the vocal is mostly death metal growl vocals.
There are some melodic pieces inbetween the slabs of death and doom metal. The tempo is mid-tempo and the music is pretty melodic.
The music is also pretty quirky. The clean vocals are pretty good. The music is bold and pretty epic.
The result is a pretty good album and one to check out.
