The seventh album from this band from Canada.
The band was a quartet with a lineup of drums, bass, guitars, keyboards and vocals.
This band started out as a fusion/jazz band but moved towards progressive metal on their latest albums. I have reviewed most of their albums and they are good albums.
Black Soul Sickness is clocking in at three quarters of an hour.
The music is complex, bold and epic progressive metal.
There are some djent here too. The music is at the more heavier end of the progressive metal genre.
...Then again, there are also some more melodic pieces here.
The music varies between some brutal and some more melodic pieces, in other words. The same goes for the vocals which shifts between growls and melodic clean vocals.
The quality is good throughout. This is an album fans of progressive metal should check out.
