Connection Theory - Entropy (2025)

The third album from this band from Great Britain.

This is a one-man-band with Duncan Cooper doing the bass, guitars, cello, keyboards, drums programming, saxophone and flute.

Two guests added female vocals.

I have yet to find Duncan Cooper's first two Connection Theory albums. I will again have a look and review them later this year if I can find them.

The music here is a blend of neo-prog and heavy prog.

The music is dynamic and pretty melodic.

The music is a blend of keyboards driven instrumentals and female vocals driven songs. The balance between vocals based songs and instrumentals are very good.

The vocals are great and Duncan Cooper has chosen his vocalists wisely.

The guitar sound is not good and a bit of a downer.

The music is also a bit safe and workmanlike. There are no fireworks here and no real surprises.

That said, this is still a good album and one to check out if neo-prog floats your boat.
