Czyszy - Aftermoon (2026)

The tenth album from this band from Poland.

This is a one-man-band where Marek Krol does the guitars, synths, saxophones, percussion, programming and vocals.

I have previously reviewed two of his albums, the Uwe Slaughter album in # 3 of this blog and the Secret Clockwork album, which I reviewed earlier this year in this edition of the blog. I gave both albums a good rating.

Aftermoon is clocking in at three quarters of an hour.

The music is a blend of neo-prog and symphonic prog. There is also some electronica and neo-classical music here. Some of the music sounds like ELP too.

The vocals are pretty good. The music is a bit weird due to the electronica. Some of the music is organic and based on organs.

The quality of the music is not as strong this time around as on the two albums I have reviewed. It seems like Marek Krol has run out of good ideas here. Some of the music is good though and this is therefore a pretty good album.
