Rome Pro(G)ject. The - Exegi Monumentum Aere Perennius (2017)

The third album from this project from Italy.

The project was a sextet with a line-up of guitars, electric violin, piano, keyboards, saxophone and flute.

A number of guests added drums, bass, guitars and narrations.

The project returned again after a one year long break.

This album clocks in at one hour.

The music here is a blend of symphonic prog, RPI and cinematic rock. The music is indeed vintage 1970s RPI and symphonic prog.

The music is epic, symphonic, monumental and melodic.

There are a lot of keyboards, guitars, flute and saxophones here. The balance between their solos is very good .  The harmonies are superb.

The sound is excellent too.

The result is a very good to great album and one to check out for all RPI and symphonic prog fans.
