Cholo Visceral - Vol. II (2016)

The second album from this band from Peru.

The band was a sextet with a lineup of drums, percussion, bass, guitars, theremin, keyboards, saxophone and voices.

One guest added keyboards on a couple of tracks.

Their 2013 self-titled debut album was a good album. Weird and quirky psych rock influenced heavy prog was what we got there.

The seventy minutes long Vol II takes us into a more space rock territory. There are still some hard rock here too. The final part of the album is pretty much an avant-garde rock album too.

There is a lot of saxophones in their sound and some electronics in addition to the bass, guitars and drums.

The sound is good and the band does a good job too.

This album is a bit of a let down compared to their debut album. This is still a decent enough album and well worth checking out.
