The debut album from this band from Sweden.
The band was a quintet with a lineup of drums, bass, guitars, theremin, organ, electric piano, theremin, synths, vocoder and vocals.
This band consists of members previously playing in the likes of Carptree, Candlemass and Hollingshead All solid bands with numberous albums behind them. Bakelit is now their new priority and they have so far released two albums under this name. A review of their brand new album will follow later this year.
Asleep Of Insane are a three quarters of an hour long album.
The music is melancholic, muscular neo-prog with a lot of art-rock and some psych rock influences.
The sound and music is bold, epic and big. There is lot of layers of guitars and synths in the bottom of the male and female vocals.
The music is pretty melodic too. The vocals is good and the music is songs based.
The overall quality is good throughout and this band is a welcome addition to the Swedish prog rock scene.
