Homer - Grown In USA (1972)

The one and only album from this band from USA.

The band was a quintet with a line-up of drums, bass, guitars, steel guitar and vocals.

This band comes from Texas and was regarded as the best band from this state during the first half of the 1970s. I am not sure what that says about the scene in Texas...

The album is clocking in at three quarters of an hour.

The music here is a blend of hard rock and psych rock.

There is a lot of Americana in their music too. This is mostly due to the steel guitar.

The music is pretty hard rocking throughout. It also has a lot of interesting hooks and themes too.

The sound is pretty poor and that is a bit of a downer. I am here reviewing the remaster from 2024.

The songs are decent enough though. This is an album fans of 1970s hard psych should check out.
