The band was a quartet with a lineup of drums, percussion, bass, guitars, keyboards, kanta, doromba and vocals.
This is the final album from this band. I reviewed their 2002 debut album Kisember last week and really liked that album. Hence the Good rating. It is a crying shame that this band has only released two albums.
Balkan is clocking in at one hour.
The music is again a blend of airy space rock and electronica.
Mike Oldfield is a good reference here. Jean Michel Jarre is also a good reference. There are still some subtle hints of Eloy here.
The music is still a bit minimalistic. There are some long and lingering guitar solos here. This in addition to the keyboards.
There are some sparse, but still some useful female and male vocals here. Most of the vocals are without any words.
The quality is very good throughout. This is one of the better albums from this country and an album you should get if airy space rock is your thing.
