Nobody expected a new album from this band as their last album Headline News was released back in 1983. But we all got a surprise here....
None involved in Headline News is involved in Circle The Sun. I am not the only one who does not understand why this album was released under the Atomic Rooster name. Anyway..
This album clocks in at just under forty minutes and the music is a blend of 1970s hard rock, psych rock and blues.
The band is doing a decent job on some half-decent songs. Ten pretty short songs and none of them are good songs.
Atomic Rooster has a very good name in the scene. This album is an anomaly in the discography and should not tarnish their good reputation. This is one of the more unexpected and at the same time, one of the more disappointing albums of the year.
