Palco Numero Cinque - Carta Straccia (2014)

The one and only album from this band from Italy.

The band was a quintet with a line-up of drums, percussion, bass, guitars, keyboards and vocals.

This is another new band to me. The band is still alive and playing gigs in Italy, I have been informed.

Carta Straccia clocks in at forty minutes.

The music here is a blend of alternative rock and psych rock. There is also some folk rock influences here.

There is a lot of RPI influences in their music too and I was very tempted to label this album as an RPI album. The reason is that RPI is a wide-ranging genre. There is a case for this album to be labelled RPI.

The music is both melodic and a bit edgy. It is also a hard rocking album at times. There are also some more pastoral pieces here.

The male Italian vocals are great.

There is no doubts this album is a bit of a gem. It is also a good album RPI fans should check out. This is an underestimated/undervalued album and indeed, band. Check out this album.
