The debut album from this band from Australia.
The band was a quartet on this album with a lineup of drums, percussion, bass, guitars, keyboards and vocals.
A number of guests added drums, vocals and spoken words.
This band has released around thirteen EPs and albums through Bandcamp. Their last EP/album was released back in 2024. I am only going to review this album. An album which has been hanging around in my collection for the last ten years.
The Gumshot Chronicles is clocking in at fifty minutes.
The music here is nowhere near what they say on the Bandcamp site. I believe the band must have developed a lot during their ten years. Taking the music on this album into account, that is a good thing.
The music here is quirky, chaotic blend of post-punk and indie rock.
The music is minimalistic with sparse instrumentation. The vocals are both male and female. The vocals are pretty decent.
There are some decent songs here. The rest of the music is pretty poor. I am not tempted to review their remaining albums.
