Triangle - Retreat (2004)

The second album from this band from The Netherlands.

The band was a quartet with a lineup of drums, percussion, bass, guitars, keyboards and vocals.

Triangle returned again four years after their debut album Square The Circle.

Retreat is clocking in at one hour and gives us more of the same as on the debut album...

The music is a blend of neo-prog and art rock.

The songs are medium long with the longest song clocking in at just under ten minutes.

The guitars are sometimes a bit grungy. Some of the music is also depressive and grungy. The whole vibe is melancholic and sad.

The vocals are pretty good. There are a couple of good songs here. The overall quality is somewhere between decent and good. This album is not their best.
