The debut album from this band from Great Britain.
The band was a quintet with a lineup of drums, percussion, bass, guitars, slide guitar, piano, organ, mellotron and vocals.
Two guests added drums and keyboards.
Please note that this album was re-released in USA the same year under the name Uriah Heep.
I am finally getting around to reviewing the twenty-six or so studio albums from this band in the coming twelve months or so. This is a major project which I think will be a lot of fun.
Uriah Heep is legends in their own right, indeed.
This forty minutes long album opens with one of their most known and loved songs.. Gypsy. A very good song indeed.
The rest of the album is a blend of psych rock, prog rock and hard rock. The songs are pretty good throughout. The vocals is very good indeed.
The result is a good album and one to check out.
