The second album from this artist from USA.
Alan Morse did the bass, guitars, bouzouki, mandolin, electric sitar, cello, tin whistle and vocals here.
He got help from a lot of guests who added drums, bass, guitars, viola, keyboards, saxophones, tin whistle and vocals.
His debut album arrived back in 2007 and that was a guitar based fusion album. So that was what I expected on the one hour long So Many Words too.
Alan Morse has changed style on this album.
US Symphonic prog and pomp rock is the music here. There are a lot of Spock's Beard and Saga influences here. Ditto for Kansas and some funk influences too.
The music is bold, epic and melodic. It reminds me a lot about the first Spock's Beard albums.
Alan Morse's guitars are still prominent here and his riffs and solos are very good.
The overall quality is indeed very good and this is one of last year's better albums. It is an album well worth checking out.
