The debut album from this band from USA.
The band was a duo with a lineup of drums, bass, synths and vocals.
This band has to date released five albums and I am reviewing them this autumn.
Song By Song clocks in at one hour.
The music here is neo-prog.
Their take on neo-prog is symphonic with some intricate compositions. Genesis is a big inspiration here. There are also some Yes inspirations lurking around in the music here.
There are no guitars in their music.... No guitarists, that is. There are still guitars here, very probably programmed.
The music is still very organic, though. There are not many synths on this album.
The music is melodic and pretty elegant. The vocals are very good.
There are no great songs here. That said, this is a good, bordering to a very good album. Check it out if neo-prog is your thing.
