Neal. Ian - All in the Golden Afternoon... (2026)

The fifth album from this artist from Great Britain.

Ian Neal did the guitars, piano, organ, keyboards and synths here.

He got help from numerous guests who added narrations, female vocals and a guitar solo.

I have reviewed a couple of his albums in # 2 and # 3 of this blog. I like them a lot and have rated them as very good and good.

This one hour long album is not really a new album. It the twentieth anniversary of the 2006 album of the same name. His debut album, no less.

The music is symphonic prog with a lot of The Enid influences. There are also some Yes and Genesis influences here.

There is a lot of narrations and female vocals here in addition to the keyboards and guitars.

The music is very flowery and symphonic. It is also very melodic throughout.

The music is good and this is a recommended album. Do you really need this album if you have got the 2006 version of the album ? I would say so, yes.
