The debut album from this band from USA.
The band was a trio with a lineup of drums, ebow, guitars, piano and synths.
This is another new band to me. They released two name-your-price Bandcamp albums before they broke up. I am reviewing both of them this month.
I Am Mortal But Was Fiend clocks in at one hour.
The music is post-metal.
There is also a lot of post-rock on this instrumental album. I would say 50/50 of post metal and post rock. Math rock is also a genre this album touches with.
The music is pretty hard. It is most of all dynamic and pretty complex. The music is also melodic.
This album does not really add anything new to this genre. It is still a decent album and very much a worthy download from their Bandcamp site.
