The debut album from this band from Norway.
The band was a one-man-band on this album where Erlend Viken did the bass, guitars, electronics and vocals.
This band started out as a one-man-band before it branched out to a full band. It has so far released six albums and they are all up for review this fall.
I do not yet know if this half an hour long album is representative for this band as there is only one man in the band at this time. Nevertheless, the music here is a blend of art-rock, electronica and post-rock.
References are Airbag, Sigur Ros and Steven Wilson.
The tempo is slow and melancholic. There is some organ and moog sounds here in addition to some flutes sounds. All this generated by the electronics.
The vocals is really good and they are also adding a haunting ambience to this album.
The music is pretty good throughout. This is indeed a more than acceptable debut album and I am looking forward to sampling their other albums.
