Fates Warning - Inside Out (1994)

The seventh album from this band from USA.

The band was a quintet with a lineup of drums, bass, guitars and vocals.

A number of guests added extra vocals and some synths.

This album is clocking in at fifty minutes.

The band returned again three years after releasing the pretty good Parallels album. An album reviewed in this blog.

That album saw the band turning more into a progressive metal band instead of a heavy and power metal band.

That development is continuing on this album too. There is indeed a lot of hard progressive rock here. There is also a lot of metal here.

This album is their most melodic album up to that point. The vocals and the guitars are good. Ditto for the sound.

This is indeed a pretty good album. I am still not won over by this band...
