Purple Skies - A Million Years (2026)

The debut album from this band from Norway.

The band was a quartet with a lineup of drums, bass, guitars and vocals.

This forty minutes long album is another album I have received from Apollon Records, one of this planet's leading, best record labels.

This band is new to me. Then again, that is not a bad thing as I have lost touch with the Norwegian scene many decades ago.

The music here is retro-hard rock with a lot of stoner influences.

Someone, I think it is either the band or their record label, has labelled this album as proto-stoner rock. This is indeed a good label, fitting the music here.

The vocals are good and the music are guitars dominated. There are some cool guitar themes and harmonies here. The music is mid-tempo and pretty hard.

The quality is pretty good and this is an album stoner rock and hard rock fans should and must check out. I hope we will hear a lot more from this band in the future.
