The debut album from this artist from Italy.
Alessio Trapella did the basses, guitar, harmonica, flute and vocals here.
He had help from two guests who provided guitars, piano, organ, clavinet and synths.
Alessio was a bassist in New Trolls and had also played with Aldo Tagliopietra from Le Orme before he set sail on his own as a solo-artist. Two albums have so far been released and I will review his brand new album later this year.
The music on this fifty minutes long album is RPI.
The music is pretty much classic RPI. There is a lot of folk rock, Italian folk rock and some jazz incorporated into this take on RPI.
Some of the music is a bit funky too. There is indeed an undertone of funk throughout this album.
The music is mid-tempo and pastoral at times. The vocals are good and the guests does a good job.
The quality of the songs is somewhere between decent and good. This is an acceptable debut album and one to build on. Something I hope will be evident on his new album.
