The sixth album from this band from Switzerland.
The band was a quartet with a lineup of drums, bass, guitars and keyboards.
A guest delivered some guitar solos on one track.
The band returned to the studio after a three years long break.
Their 2016 album Astra Symmetry was a good heavy space rock album. Their best up to that point, no less. I was therefore hoping some more of the same....
Sphere is a fifty minutes long album. The band has ditched the vocals they used on one track. The Led Zeppelin influences has also gone. The band has retreated back to classic heavy outer space rock.
Which means these two albums are pretty different from each other.
The music is still hard and heavy. Very heavy. The space rock is really cool and it has got some Eastern Asia flavours.
The music is also good throughout and fans of heavy space rock should check out this album. This is not an album for the faint-hearted, though...
