The fifth album from this band from The Netherlands.
The band was a quintet with a lineup of drums, percussion, bass, guitars, piano, synths, drum programming, flute and vocals.
This highly rated band returned again with their fifth album. The band has three male and two female members. That is something that sets them a bit apart. And that is only a good thing.
This three quarters of an hour long album takes us to their take on art-rock. There is also a lot of neo-prog and some folk rock influences in their music.
Maartje Meessen's vocals are always in the front of their music. The vocals is very good so that is not a problem.
The music is songs based on the usual verse-chorus-verse setup. There is still some good musicianship and a lot of interesting details here. The band knows how to spice up their songs, that is for sure.
The result is a good album and one to check out. This is one of the better European bands now and their success is deserved.
