The second album from this band from Germany.
The band was a duo with a line-up of percussion, bass, guitars, keyboards, mellotron, synths, drum machine, voices and vocals.
Three guests added guitar, organ and narration.
The band returned again after a thirty-eight years long break. This time as a duo. Earlier this year, I reviewed their very good debut album and you will find the review here. The band has released two albums between 2016 and 2018. I will review their third album in a few days.
Void Refuge is clocking in at one hour.
The music is a blend of electronica, krautrock and neo-classical music.
The music is dreamy and floating throughout. It is like a dreamy piece of music from Eloy. Krautrock is still the genre I would label the music here as.
There are a lot of synths, narrations and voices in the music. The music also has this 1970s krautrock ethos.
The music is a bit messy at times. Some of the music is sub-standard. There are also some pretty good music here. The overall quality is decent. This album is nowhere near as good as the debut album. Krautrock fans should check out this album.
