Syrinx - Time Out Of Place (2025)

The second album from this band from Canada.

The band was a quartet with a lineup of drums, bass, guitars, synths and vocals.

I have not had the pleasure of listening to their 2019 debut album Embrace The Dark so this is the only album I have with this band.

The music is a blend of post-metal, eclectic prog and indie rock.

The sound is a bit distorted. The vocals are screamo vocals.

The music is mostly mid-tempo with some forays into extreme metal territory.

This is not an album for the faint-hearted or those who like their music to be melodic and nice.

There are a couple of good pieces of music here. There are also some very poor pieces of music here. On balance, this is a decent enough album. I am not won over.
